new Killer Queen version
I'd love to hear it when you get a version done.

new Killer Queen version
Thanks, Adam. I did track them much hotter than necessary, I have since learned. And the guitar tracks vary wildly in volume because I was fiddling so much with tones and such and using the same tracks to save space....

new Killer Queen version
Why thank you. I wanted to give it a different touch, and a "Brian May" style solo seemed the ticket.

new Killer Queen version
It's the very first topic in the cafe. "Announcement... remix contest"

new Killer Queen version
It's only twice recorded.

new Killer Queen version
Oh, and don't forget, if you want to 'remix' this version, go to www.studio-central.com and register. The multi tracks are available for download in the 'community cafe' forum.

new Killer Queen version
Just to defend myself... I didn't actually mis-interpret that lyric. I did that on purpose. My earlier version had the correct lyric. I had been doing a couple takes on the lead vocal and just the last time through on...

new Killer Queen version
Sure. Basically, I started with a room 7.5' high by 11.5' wide, by 17' long. It has tile floors, and regular painted sheetrock walls as is typical in the US. First, I determined I wanted my listening position to be 38...

new Killer Queen version
It's just better all the way around. That first version (which has been removed) was not bad for an enthusiast with a mic and a little time on his hands. But it was just that. It was one of the first things I tracked...

new Killer Queen version
Hi all, I decided to replace my earlier cover of Killer Queen. I've learned so much about recording since then that it would be a shame to have that as a track of record. Here's the new one: www.junglenoisestudio.com/...

New Fan Cover: Aric - Death On Two Legs
It played fine for me... must be a problem with your end.

New Fan Cover: Aric - Death On Two Legs
Hey, cool! I was wondering what happened to that song once I sent it to you!

Burns or Brian May Sig. ver?
I've had no problems with my Burns BM model. I did adjust the action, because I changed to lighter strings and I like to mess around with the setup on my guitars!

Best live performance of Bohemian Rhapsody
Hamersmith '75. The reason is that his voice has a suppleness to it. You can hear the head tone in his vibrato. It's not just yelling. Granted, he was a great yeller! But I prefer his earlier vocal work (pre '76) beca...

Freddies vocal mics
Thank you very much. Unfortunately those photos I've seen. The studio photo is the one I referred to in the first post, where it's clearly a neumann mic, probably a U67. The others are live performance photos which, u...

Freddies vocal mics
Thanks, but I refuse to go through that ridiculous rapidshare website. If you'd be very kind, perhaps you could email them directly to me? [email protected]

Freddies vocal mics
The live mics are easy to figure out. I really am only interested in the studio vocal mics, particularly on SHA and ANATO. It's wierd that this isn't documented anywhere that I can find.

More Timless 70's or 80's Queen
I think it depends on what countries we're talking about. I believe in the US, there's no question that the 70's material will be remembered forever, but the 80's stuff was hardly known over hear. Whereas in most of t...

Bohemian Rhapsody - long version
I don't think that's right, sebastian. RTB specifically talks about adding tape to make it longer. There are also interviews where it is talked about snipping up tom tom parts to edit into other places. I'm quite sure...

Freddies vocal mics
Togg, most condensers (and ribbons)have as great a proximity effect as any 58 has. It's just that in general you won't get within 1" of the capsule with a condenser so it isn't as much a problem. Compare that to anoth...
