Checking in once more; glad to see (read) that everyone is hanging in there. The only Freddie/Queen contribution I have to offer is that when I walk, I play Queen. "Another One Bites the Dust" and "Hammer to Fall" are...

Thanks Katy for wondering where the rest of us are wandering. I do check in once-in-a-while, but still have little to offer in the way of, well, much of anything. But really, nothing Queen or FM. Sheesh, I'm boring. G...

You too, Chevy. Katy, I'm glad you laughed and forwarded the humor. It's sooo important to laugh right now.

I've no wisdom to impart, no review of books or movies to debate and discuss, and certainly no suggestions for parents/grandparents supervising home schooling. But there are some funny ditties out there to lighten the...

Hi Katy--still around, I check in from time-to-time, but didn't feel like I had much to add. But that little bit from Jo T. was great, so had to weigh in and chortle a bit. My son lives in Amman, Jordan and is in lock...

Amidds, lol-- 'The Great Believers', but I've also said the same on several occasions--it's a Freddie thing. :) Glad that all who've read it, loved it. I'm encouraging my 25 year-old to read it, but he hasn't--yet.

I agree that Moseley wouldn't have enough for a full biography, but maybe an in depth interview would be nice. I know the bit you're referring to where she talks about the afternoon with Freddie, and his thanking her...

Thanks, Amidds. I went back to the link and read the synopsis at the side bar (duh--could have done that earlier) and it does use the term "series" but that's all the info given. I'm probably not as big a fan of Frees...

Thanks, Amidds for this link. Wonderful snippets about Freddie! Is this a series?

Katy, I'm so glad you enjoyed it--my reaction was exactly the same. In fact, I re-read it immediately as I didn't want it to end! Such wonderful, real characters, humanly graceful and flawed.

Nice new place you've got here, Katy. Lots of room to grow. :)

The film has certainly invigorated new interest in Queen and Freddie. I've found that, a few trolls as the exception, QZ is a fairly safe place to discuss and/or ask questions, at least with *this* particular communit...

Thanks, Doughnut for your UK insights into the probate issue. I wondered about that 'house has to be empty' thing, it didn't really make sense to me. I agree that it was better that the three guys FM loved (and who lo...

Amidds, glad to see you back and I'm thrilled that you enjoyed "The Great Believers"--my feeling is that it's one of those great American novels that show up from time-to-time and that will be read generations from no...

Part Three: New thread while Thor and Lee's book is in Publication
JoT--this is why I return to this site: to learn and be with good folk. Yours is a lovely gesture.

Yup, she's a piece work. She has multiple accounts on Quora with at least a few people challenging her. I think there's more than a 'hint' of homophobia, but her stories about Jim are wacky.

Thanks for that link, Doughnut. I believe I came across that link as well, though I never looked at a translation of the interview. I'm still baffled as to why some "fans" have such a problem with Jim and Freddie's re...
