He wasnt always gay he liked men and women but he said that he just turned gay a lifestyle choice

Um...yeah. Buy you know...he couldn't "get it up" for Mary Austin, so I'm afraid the man was gay. It really wasn't his choice. Plus, he was sexually abused as a child which in the end might have been the cause of his homosexuality. I don't know...I usually don't care about these things.

Yes, I read it somewhere. It took place while he was at boarding school...but I could be wrong on the whole thing. I've never really bothered to clarify it.

I don't think him being gay was the problem, it was simply the way he carried out his life. When he lived in New York City in the early 80s (which is when he most likely got the disease) he went to and held crazy parties. One place he went to (which was as bad as it gets) there was a back room where people (all gay) would basically have casual sex. It was hardly safe at all...in fact, Freddie met Jim Hutton at a gay bar I believe...so yeah. There you have it. And Jim has AIDS too...but he's still alive. He's very lucky.

yer I heard about those gay bars yuk I mean like just casual sex no care in the world but around that time Aids wasnt really looked upon so people didnt take much notice it was there and so easy to get, poor Jim but he has obviously living with Aids for a long time. It killed Freddie quite quick 5 years .
