Well, what I wanted to say is that it amazes me how he can be constantly hitting those drums and don't miss a beat and sing!. He sweats the bullet. I've never seen anybody work so hard while sitting on his ass. :-D

Well, on a serious note, I would say that the most physically demanding job on stage would definitely be the drums, so Roger would have worked hardest in the physical sense.
But who gave it their "all" the most? That would have to be Freddie surely!

You could probably estimate the physical exertion by counting the drink and towel moments that Freddie and Roger required during a show.
People act as if John isn't moving on stage and just stands there. I actually think he's moving quite a bit more than Brian.

Some people sweat more than others without neccesarily being working harder. And some get tired more easily too. Considering Roger and Freddie smoked during most of the 80s, it's obvious that their physical condition wouldn't be the best, so they probably got tired more than Brian, but it doesn't mean his physical activity was less exhausting than theirs.

What Freddie was doing was very aerobic, I would assume, because all his movements were quick and very big. Running around the stage, lifting his arms all the time and jumping to different levels of the stage are enough to make anyone sweat. And during the guitar solos, notice how he tries to take the attention away from Brian. But, I'm sure they were all exhausted after a show. Nerves, the physical requirements and the requirements of the intense concentration would all be exhausting.

When I began to watch Queen live videos, I was surprised by Freddie prancing and moving around energetically but since then I've often wondered if Freddie had bumped into Brian on stage, or he'd hit Brian with his mic stand...lol.
I remember a funny scene that somewhere Brian quickly stepped aside from Freddie coming up to Brian as if he avoided Freddie's attack... I almost laughed.

I have a lot of respect for all four musicians, but I can tell you that playing drums will take a lot out of you. But they all worked hard for the crowd.
I'm sure they must've all been exhausted after the show and they still had energy to party afterwards! That Freddie and Roger smoked is even more amazing, but I don't think the sweating has anything to do with it, it was the shear physical effort.
I am not a super big rock fan, I pick and choose from different kinds of music, but I have seen very few drummers work as hard as Roger and put so much passion into it. I am gaining new admiration and respect for Roger Taylor.
