Maybe I'm in a bad mood or something but I usually love Paul, from "Maybe I'm amazed" to "I can see the world tonight" to anything he does. But the new single "Dance Tonight" sounds like the most horrible, trite, unimaginative thing I've heard in awhile. Am I alone in this thinking?

The video seems 2nd rate and amateurish too. It seems to try to go back to the old beatles days but fall flats, even worse than the magical mystery tour movie.
Meh. I immediately lose interest when someone rhymes 'feet' with 'beat'. Sorry Paul. I love the mandolin, but this song lost me at that point.

I guess 'everybody's gonna dance tonight'..... except Heather Mills. Should've called the song "Hop Tonight", eh Paulie!
I like it. lol :]
I think you are being a little harsh.
It's not that bad.

Now that song 'Freedom' he wrote after 911, that's total crap.

you were always gonna get a negative comment from me once i got to the point where you said you liked "maybe im amazed".i loathe that song more than the "frog chorus"
its mindless mccartney drivel
the new one is ok,nothing great mind.he hasnt done anything decent since flowers in the dirt.
isnt innuendo an italian suppository? im gonna ride the wild wind! its_a_hard_life wrote:you nutcase you rule! joxer replies: but in a nice way :-]
Awww, I kinda like it. I'll acknowledge that it's really dippy and lightweight, though. I give the guy a break, LOL. He's 65 years old. His voice sounds *great* on this.

Or that dead jerk he played with when he was in the Beatles? What's his name?

Billy Preston.
...this kettle is boiling over... ...one dump...one turd...two tits...John Deacon... ...one prawn...one shrimp...one clam...one chicken!
i havent heard the song but if it does it is no surprise to me. everything he has done since 1976 has sucked.
I still think the song sucks but the album is actually kinda good. I downloaded the songs from ares. It's not as great as some of the reviews make it out to be but it's decent. I don't know why he made that song the first single, that just dumb to me. That song appeals to no one. It it had like a mindless techno beat with the mandolin and the heavy guitar at the end than it might work on some level but the way the song is produced it just doesnt work on any level, not lyrical, not innovative production wise and not musically.

But yes, his voice still sounds good for being 65 in a few weeks.

Whoops, I blew it. I blush with shame, and I should have known better - having known all their birthdays, and other assorted fan-type knowledge. I called him 65, and he's not that age until June 18th.

Ahaha, I really liked it! The song was sweet, and the video was so creative.. xD
"Cup of tea? I'd love one."
"I didn't ask you."

If you didn't like this song, try listening to "Nod Your Head". It's different. :DD

I also don't like it very much. It's pretty catchy, but it has lame lyrics and the music is also boring.

I did like Vintage Clothes though. It sounds like If I Needed Someone.

His previous album (C&CITB) was better, especially with gems like Fine Line, English Tea and Too Much Rain.

And does anyone has any idea why those last 2 McCartney albums are mixed so poorly. It sounds so homemade!

"It sounds so homemade!"

I guess it depends on whose home it's made in!
I mean ofcourse an amateur trying to cut his tracks in his bedroom :D
