Hello everyone,

I just downloaded Killer Queen by Aric and it sounded really good! I am interested in being able to recreate Queen songs and other bands songs and some of my own, however the only editing software I have is for movies (U-lead version 7), which obviously isn't much good for music. I am looking to buy a music editing program, in the range of two to three hundred dollars (if one exists), for an recently bought XP. If anyones knowns any programs that would allow me to record and mix and edit my own music, that's available in Australia, I would greatly appreciate it,

Thanks M.H

You could try Adobe Audition for editing music. Or Sound forge
"Normally i can't dance to save my life. But as soon as I step in dog shit, I can moonwalk better than Michael Jackson."
Mixpad or Wavepad... or Acoustica. :)
Adobe Audition (formerly CoolEdit) is simply the best software available for music- and audio editing.

I agree, especially multitracking.
We love you Mandy!
Ok, I have definetly heared of Adobe before, my mate has the film editing software and he uses a part of it for music editing, we recorded a Smoke On Water track, and that turned out pretty good, although at the end of the day it was a program made for film editing. Do you guys know how much the adobe music program costs?

PS: Thanks for helping us out...

Thanks very much for the link!

That certainly sounds perfect for what I want, and like all good computer programs it has a manual, which means computing invalids like me will be able to use it! All I need to do now is get some guitar lessons so that I don't waste that program.

My thanks to all of you for helping out, much appreciated once again...

I love the audio restoration capabilities most myself. I've managed to turn a hissy, crackling FM-recording into a brilliantly clear sonic explosion. It takes hours and hours of work, but without A.A. I couldn't have done it nearly that well.
