It will be a success

Thanks to all the idiots who are slaves of overhyped commercialist trends and slaves of the cell phone itself.

Looks like now we'll have more chances of coming across some asswipe who can't put both hands on the fuckin' wheel and concentrate on driving.

I'm gonna ask for one for Christmas. :D

What sucks is that it's AT&T service and it won't work on DC metrorail. =_=
Back whenever

YES! LOL! Too right!
Haha. I think it's a waste of time. lol. It just really is too much to be put on ONE device. I mean, there are already phones with music, and phones with computers. WHAT is the POINT of this? I personally think it's stupid. lol People should definitely NOT be interrupted while driving :P and this will cause a huge problem on the roads.
I'm not getting one. It'll just break. iPod's seem to enjoy breaking. And apparently using a phone as a mp3 player fries your brain even more than a normal phone.
iPhone, load of crap.
your words. not mine.

That's the thing. When an iPod breaks, it's no big deal - you go without music for a week (or use one of a million other methods of listening to music) until they send you another one. Some people rely on their cell phones for work, networking, or emergencies, and can seriously be hampered by a malfunctioning phone.

On another note, neither mobile phones nor mp3 players have the ability to fry anyone's brain. Especially if you're referring to the radiation, which is entirely safe non-ionizing radiation.

I won't get one for the simple fact that I can't count on my 60 gig iPod to not run out of space in the near or distant future - why should I pay a great deal (what I think is probably a significant amount of the cost of the phone) for a useless mp3 player function on my phone that can hold maybe 10% of my music? If they greatly reduced the price, and eliminated the mp3 function I'd probably like one, though.

the road thing...

does it really piss anyone else off that people are TEXTING while driving?

personally i think texting ist pointless and stupid, and now if they have this distraction.......rawr >.<

its an interesting idea, but people shouldnt be glued to their appliances. this will be a good reason to have people still be computer geeks but are able to go outside :-p
why pay the visit when the visit is free? "this shitty guitar wont play what i want! it only knows three chords!"

Exactly. [=
I couldn't care less what you do while driving, as long as you drive well. It's perfectly within a person's capabilities to talk on the phone/adjust car settings/text message and drive well and responsibly at the same time - and if it's not within your capabilities, simply don't do it.

That's the problem

Most people can't fully concentrate on two things at the same time. Sure, they could handle both driving and holding a phone on their hand and come home safe day after day, but chances are that at some point or another they will face a situation where full concentration behind the wheel will not allow their reflexes to respond quick enough to prevent an accident.
