It was just a comedy bit. They try to do comedy on that show. It was all set up to go that way. Notice how the guy had the lighter all ready to go. And the shredder happened to be also on camera. Notice how they are grinning and how Joe takes the wadded up paper and sniffs it.

i was watching FOX for coverage of the chris benoit murder/suicide scenario when the comment was made.
also,is it compulsary for FOX newscasters to SHOUT all the time?
ps to show how much the channel doesnt know much about foreign countries they also said that "rotherham and sheffield are towns just north of London" whilst describing the floods here in the UK.

Yeah. Whenever I write something too severe - I go back and edit it. My posts are like a Harry Potter picture - always changing. That's because I have post post anxiety. Haha. Anyway, sorry. I can see how it would seem like a serious event to everyone who doesn't watch that show and just sees a clip on Youtube. But I caught a few minutes of that show a couple of weeks ago and they were discussing Joe's wife having to get together with Mika to prepare her for working with Joe - so that is another example of their type of "comedy" with the news.
