i wasnt really there for any of the 80's, so i can really never know. but here goes anyway:

80's: shiny new things, extra big, but simple, and sometimes more complex, depending on what it was. less circular things, and more corners..

90's: the shiny things got kind of dingy and recycled and stickers all over it. and then everything was patterned. just a complete mess of tackiness..

i would have much liked to live in the 70s and 80s. it sounds alot better to me!!

I know man.....

I don't find Oasis attitude very entertaining. I know some people who enjoy it, like some of my friends. He bores me. "Wonderwall" was a good song. I mean, how can they compare themselves to The Beatles????? Was he high when he said that??? lol.....
Dunno about that, but "Don't look back in Anger" sounds a lot like "Imagine" at the beginning :P.

I know Noel had a fight with Hari in 1996 about that Oasis was better than the Beatles. Still I know both are nuts, but they have great songs like "Champagne Supernova", "Whatever", "Don't go away" and "Go let it out"

I fucking love Oasis. Especially Noel, he's hilarious. He's on Russell Brand's radio show most weeks and he has a great sense of humour. I'm not so sure about Liam though, he's the more volatile one.
I have to agree with people mentioning Oasis in a negative way... They're an okay band. But they seem to think they're fucking legends. Why on Earth does that bastard from Oasis think Green Day would want to copy Wonderwall when their album was already full of potential hit singles? And what was the point in randomly insulting Bono for his charity work? At least Bono is doing something useful, helping people... Which does not cause any harm, as far as I know.

If the guys from Oasis want to be legends, they should open their eyes, see Wonderwall is just yet another good (but not special) pop song and try to compose something a bit more unique and less commercial.

I'm not saying people must like Bono. But what's the point in attacking him publically for supporting charity? It's pointless, he isn't causing any harm. He isn't even on regular TV shows often, only once now and then you see him while watching the news for one or two minutes, or sometimes when going through a weekly magazine or a newspaper... And you can skip the page talking about Bono. ;)

I personally would rather see Bono preaching about helping Africa and not wearing tons of make-up and humping cameras on stage.

Noel does it, often, just to be a prick. Some of the interviews I've seen of him are just because the journalists/interviewers ask him some pretty naff questions.

Except hoping Damon Albarn and Alex James would get AIDS and die...that I think he meant.
