Wow. I knew it was possible and like I said, I've used it, but that's appalling at just how much they could gloss over the fact that she can't sing well.
To answer your question, yes, it is obvious to certain people when it comes to hearing autotune at work. It just does something that makes it stand out to the ear.

there seems to be variants on the sound of autotune... with the autotune they use on her (from the video) its almost hard to notice her voice has been altered. although often, in the case on Declan (HORRIBLE Love Of My Life cover) you just hear it clearly from the computerised tone to his voice! Enrique Iglesias is also an obvious user.
i had a listen to Andrea Ross' album the other day...supposed to be the new charlotte church. my god! AUTOTUNE O CLOCK! really wanted to hear her voice... couldn't through the computer help. shame.
