Demise means "the end of"
Im happy at home
If this concert is for the good of the world, shouldn't they have done it all acoustically?
oh well. The Police are gonna be there, thats the only good thing.
Roger: Can I go To Lunch Now? Brian: No, You Can't... --------------------------------------- Freddie: Oh Shit, All this crap again?! "If I had to do it all over again, yes why not? why not
Tonight there is going to be a replay of it at eight but they are just highlights of it. Does anyone think that they're going to show the opening that has Roger Taylor and everything? Sorry to ask, but that's really all I wanted to see (except for Metallica and the Police) and I missed it.

The drumming opening scene I didn't think was anything special at all to be honest.
cutting off power won't help anything...clean power might... It's all about oil...and still is...saving energy will only buy the oil companies more time to sell their oil...

Use 'green' energy and force electric companies to invest in wind, water and sun...

BTW...I thought the Beasty Boys rocked hard and said it all with their song 'Sabotage'...!!!

the opening drum jam was boring and useless, sorry to say that. And that bit of "We will rock you" in the end was so cheesy..

To those people who are "cleverly" seeing the irony of the fact that a concert is promoting energy preservation, did you know that the concert was carbon neutral? That's really quite an outstanding feat.

If rock stars and singers can promote the idea of battling global warming and make it a cool subject for kids to talk about, then I'm all for it. It will put the basic awareness into their heads, and the ones who have any interest will research the topic themselves and take action.

Well I wasn't speaking for the others when I brought that up... I was referring to my own carbon emissions caused by my television :P

Am I the only one disturbed by the fact that Spinal Tap wasn't nearly as bad as most of the real bands that day?? :/

I have a suggestion for Geldof, Gore and anyone else who wants to put on Live x event at y famous venue....

WAIT FOR SOME GOOD BANDS TO FORM. The current crop are fucking yawn-factories.

LOL...yes indeed...I suspect Spinal Tap even to be a 'hot' cult band...twenty years from now...!

Back to the subject...I realized that the kids of today obviously grow up with this kind of weather...they don't know how it was or used to be...for them it's just normal...and just normal that all the 'old' people keep whinning about that everything (including the weather!) was better back in the 'old' days...
For that matter...this awareness isn't such a bad thing

I was 14 with Live Aid...and I remember it was so enourmously impressive...but then again, we had Queen to play the best 25 minutes rock-set ever recorded in modern history...

That reminds me that yesterday for the first time I enjoyed the set of Snow Patrol...I mean...I didn't switch the channel...lol!

I'm suprised that fact wasn't widely made known.

Didn't watch most of the end of the concert but I did see Duran Duran, the Chili Peppers and Spinal Tap, who were all pretty good.
"Freddie would have loved it" - Brian May

Why weren't you playing at Live Earth then, hmmm?

Have you guys actually... done anything lately?
You've been talking yourselves up for about a year and a half, but I mean have you actually done anything??

I'm guilty of this too, don't get me wrong... hard to find decent players, but it's even harder to find ones that understand me!! I'm just wondering what is holding you up.

So that WAS Roger Taylor? Ah! They showed a bit of it over satellite, and I was going "is that Roger or do I just have Queen on the brain?" LOL
