I have been told of a bootleg where freddie forgets either the words or the chords to spread you wings and rather than skipping the song he just plays the same chords and sings "spread your wings!" a few times... plonks away on the piano ... "spread your wings.... ok! next song!" and with that the band move on! does anyone else know of this concert?? i would love to hear it!

Sounds like Osaka 10-24-82 to me. Or, more precisely, Nishinomiya (which is just outside Osaka).

No-ones perfect! I like to hear moments like this. it brings a very human side forward to an otherwise Legendary frontman!

To clarify...
I don't think they were regularly playing the song.
This was most likely Freddie improvising a little too far. Kinda like when he did the intro to S2L before BohRhap on the US leg of the tour.
I'm sure someone out there can give a definitive answer.

I believe the same thing happened with Mustapha during The Works Tour.
