I really don't like Back Chat but I have to agree that the solo is great.
I used to skip Body Language and Cool Cat but they grew in me. Actually, I met a guy (who then became a friend) and the first thing he said to me when he knew I was a Queen fan was: "Queen! Man, Body Language is hot.. great track!".
I was in my Q2/ANATO/Innuendo phase so I was very surprised that, of all Queen hits, he mentioned that track. I listened to that song with new ears from that day on.
Another friend of mine loved Need your loving tonight. He was my roomate and I used to play that song out loud when I woke up. He enjoyed it very much.
It's great when people who aren't fans tell you about not so popular songs that they enjoy. I once downloaded en MP3 of The Prophet's Song (can't remember why) in a friend's computer. Maybe to show it to somebody. The next week, he was playing the track out loud and loving it.

Yeh, I rekon Hot Space is a good album. When I get home from school, I come into my room and put on a record. Whilst I like some albums more, this is the one I put on most. I think that's because Queen does fun music very well, and they have about three albums which I consider to be a lot of fun, whilst having some emotional highlights. Jazz, The Miracle, and Hot Space are the fun Queen albums, mainly because they've got great songs on them which are really good to play if your in a bad mood or got the blues, works for me. Songs like Body Language, Fat Bottomed Girls, Dont Stop Me Now, Bicycle Race, Staying Power, I Want It All, etc. And then there are the emotional highlights like La Pabras Des Amor, which is one of my favorite songs and one of Queens best romantic songs.
I think Hot Space is critized most not because it's a particularly bad album, but because it's different from what Queen had done previously,

It's one of my favorites. I like it more than 'News of The World' by a long shot.

I think hot space is pretty good, and better than the miracle and a kind of magic. It's really not a bad album, also I think freddie's voice peaked. My only problem with this album is that it could have been really great. A few changes would have done the trick, like recording the disco tracks like live at the bowl (heavier) and improving some of the lryics to staying power and put out the fire.

No, it's not. This album is bad, because it has
1) bad songs
2) bad sound
3) bad mixing
4) bad music
5) "dated" sound
...
and NOT because it's completely different from the stuff they made before.
When you're reviewing an album you may not compare it with the albums before and after, or with the live versions,or anything else, just review the album itself.

For me it's the second best Album they dit (after queen 2) and for me it's becaus i think very different to pitteck
1) Great songs (staying power, calling all girls)
2) Very good sound(i think it sounds so dynamic)
3) i don't know the difference between badmixing and bad sund
4) good music (look at good songs)
5) Finaly i think the sound is very like today
So i love this album, and everytime i hear it, i feel just good, the only thing i don't realy like on this album is UNDER PRESSURE not because i think the song is bad, but it just don't fits in!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah "Under Pressure" just seems tacked-on, since it was released at least a year (?) sooner on Greatest Hits. I guess I still think of that as the official album for "Under Pressure" instead of Hot Space.
