If I burn FLAC-files on a CD, does that mean they are lossy from that point? If so, what can you do do make them stay lossless?

They aren't lossy if they're put on a CD. They're only lossy if you convert them to some kinda compressed audio. Like mp3.

No problem in converting them to WAV either.

I listen to 320kbps MP3s, and rarely leave files as FLAC.

That said, let me lossy them up myself and keep the lossy files out of trading circles. No other community even has the FLAC vs. MP3 "debate" anymore, because lossless files will always sound better to the trained ear.

My ear is just trained enough to recognize that anything below 192 kpbs MP3 sounds like crap through headphones, and 320 is an acceptable compromise.

Ipod sucks.

Keep lossless files lossless. It's not that hard.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with MP3's for your OWN personal use (i.e. iPods + iTunes etc.)

but please KEEP THEM OUT OF THE TRADING POOL !!!

It's NOT our fault that you MP3- fanboys cannot hear, understand or care about the difference between Lossless or lossy music but please take your dumb, offensive and ignorant rants somewhere else.

Queen has always given us the BEST quality possible, don't you think that we should at least do the same for the next generation of Queen-fans ?!
