The stage as this show doesn't seem to have the extensions on the left and right (where Freddie runs up toward the people in the balcony) or the small extension in the middle that goes out in the audience (as seen on the back of Live Killers). Was this a special stage used for a more cramped venue or something? Or part of a festival where other bands were having to share a generic stage? The pizza-box lighting rig and everything else seem to be the same as other shows from '79 though....

The Kampuchea Concert was part of the "Crazy Tour of London", where even smaller venues than the Hammersmith Odeon where played. They used a smaller version of the "Pizza Oven" 'cause of these locations.
Thanks! I didn't realize the lighting rig was smaller too. Freddie seems to sing better at this gig...may be because he didn't have as big of a stage to run around on.
Also, this wasn't so much a Queen solo gig as it was a performance (of full length, yes) at a festival.
You can date pictures from this era by looking at the the lights. From October '78 to March '79, the lights were in rows of 5 red, 5 green, and 4 white. For the Crazy tour (Nov-Dec '79), it was modified to be four rows of each. Example:

First night was Queen a solo performance - I was lucky to be there.
Second show featured Ian Dury & the Blockheads, The Clash & Matumbi.
Night 3 had sets by The Pretenders, The Specials and a great perfomance by the Who.
Last night was Elvis Costello & the Attractions,Rockpile - (Dave Edmunds & Nick Lowe plus Robert Plant) and Paul McCartney & Wings.Finally a massive superstar jam with 3 Zepplins,2 Whos,2 Rockpiles and more.
Dont think I have a great memory - this isfrom the sleeve notes off the LP.
