Makes me wonder, if Queen were actually touring ANYWHERE, wouldn't the boards be swarming with questions and threads? Wouldn't people be asking who was singing and are they going anywhere else and whatnot?

"Nasty final question - why would anyone believe Queen would tour Australia anyway?"
Maybe they'd like the weather. I mean Australia with those beaches and blue skies is certainly nothing like that little rainy cold dump of an island you call home...
I love the internet, and especially checking this place out from time to time. Where else could you find someone called "Penetration Guru" who thinks he's being smart whilst posting on a Queen fan forum??
Just priceless

No one likes to admit they live in the middle of nowhere, but I'm going to have to put my hand up for this.... like Q+PR would ever come out here!! If they do, it'd probably only be Sydney and Melbourne. I think Brian will have it in for us Perthicans after only a couple of hundred people turned up for the last show he did here.
(My lecturer was the guy that drove him to and from the venue - apparently Brian was dumbstruck at how the show had tanked....)

I saw Queen-A Kind Of Magic a couple of nights ago at the Burswood hotel and I loved every minute of it. Craig Pesco was brilliant as Freddie, and I was really impressed at how he interacted with the audiance. My Grandparents gave me the tickets and I was dubious, as I nevedr like the idea of a tribute show. I was greatly suprised. If what you guys say is true, they have improved leaps and bounds since you saw them. Whilst there were one or two songs were the guitarist didn't quite get the sound right, the solo was spot on and the guys playing Roger and John were very impressive.

Another World tour, '98. I remembered this story in particular very well (my lecturer, Gus Warburton - has TONS of celebrity stories to tell....) because I'd been upset that I couldn't see Brian May as I was only 12 at the time.
But yeah - from all accounts, Brian was quite underwhelmed at the turnout. I guess a couple of hundred people isn't much to a guy who's played Knebworth!!
Man... it was an interesting tale to hear though. Brian was apparently picking his brains and trying to figure out why the hell no one showed.
Geeze Brian.... if you'd waited a few years, *I* woulda gone!

I went along to the Briabane show which was packed (though I think that was due to half the "cast" being local boys.
If it's thought of as an artistic/stylistic representation of a queen show then it's not BAD but it's certainly not up to the standard I'd expect of a band of professional musicians.
Drummer was lethargic and lagged behind the beat a fair bit, his wig was laughable.Interesting to note how badly the guitar solos were done (especially when the show was over and the offstage 2nd guitarist was introduced)
The Freddie impression consisted of the standard concert quotes, (lots of darlings and hey heys plus the obligatory "this is what you wanted")
There are better ..... much better.
Certainly not as good imitators as the bootleg beatles.

Why the fuck are you guys getting offended at P_G using the term 'convict'??
Grow the fuck up. It'd be like him being offended if I called him flyblown-starving-peasant.

Hey! Dont start something your not going to be able to finish!.......[/QUOTE]
What are you smoking?? :/
SEND ME SOME.
I'm just pointing out.... two hundred years ago, there might have been a bunch of convicts running around in my country; but they aren't now. They're all dead. It's just as irrelevant as pointing out that the people in P_G's country two hundred years ago probably didn't have two potatoes to rub together....
Ergo : Big deal!!!
