new queen and paul rogers tour

do you think on the back of the success of the last tour the lads will be playing bigger venues? eg.wembley stadium.do you think they could still fill venues of this size?personally i prefer more intimate venues i was at brixton and the point in dublin and both were sheer class,some newer bands shoulg go and see how it should be done

I think there are venues with capacities in between Brixton & Wembley Stadium....

I don't think that should be the question.

They will never play Wembley, because that will lead only to direct comparisons to the old Queen. They are a new band with new things to offer, and so I highly doubt they will do it at Wembley.

the question should be,will the tour bus reach scotland this time?

yeah strange one that,when is last time they played scotland ? dont think they played it on magic tour, did brian play there on his tour?

A friendly observation:

Going from Scotland to England isn't too far, compared to those who traveled from Mexico and even South America to the US last year.

very true!but it would be handy if they played close to home;sometimes its cool to go and see a band in different country as audiences vary from country to country ,european and south american audiences seem to be much more vocal and wilder than north american audiences who can be more subdued,will probably get dogs abuse for saying that

No, sorry to say, but they would not fill the new Wembley stadium. However. 20000-30000 venues, no problem. Not in the U.K anyway.

we will have to wait and see ,if the new album is good then there will be a lot of excitment and maybe then they will fill stadiums,but as usual the critics will probably slate new album as they usually do with queen

As long as they come back to Washington D.C. and play the Verizon Center all will be well....I skipped last tour and even had the ticket in my hand, but out of stubborn loyalty to Freddie I refused to go. Now I've had 2 years to ponder my decision and realize seeing half of Queen is better than never have seen them at all....RETURN OF THE CHAMPION's convinced me of this.......Peace

Wembley, don't hold your breath. Even if the band thought they could do, I doubt that Q+PR would find a promoter willing to put them in there without multiple platinum albums. Think of it this way: it took Queen 16 years of performing as a group and 11 studio albums (ok, 12 if you count Flash) to get to Wembley. I just don't see the new Q+PR making it back to the stadium. Wembley Arena, sure, but not the stadium.

I'd like to hope the band releases an album before their next tour. Judging by US attendance figures, I'd say that if they return to America, it will be for quick stops in New York, LA, and maybe another major city or two as an afterthought of their European tour.
