I have tried googling, and, searching this forum, only to come up empty.
I would like to know the story behind these songs. Both are so beautiful(and, I often find tribute songs lacking), and, make me cry like a baby. Wondering who wrote them(I am assuming Roger, and, Brian, respectively, but...did John contribute?), when, precisely, they were written...whatever info is out there. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Thank you. With Queen's habit of recycling songs and whatnot, and, with some of their songs being remarkably appropriate for things they actually had little to do with, I wasn't certain if these were old songs retrieved from somewhere, or, if they were actually written about Freddie. Such truly beautiful songs, it is hard to imagine that they weren't given more attention by the music media.
If you go onto youtube you can get a behind the scenes of No One But You which has loads of info about the song.
The story I've heard is that Brian's impetus for writing NOBY was the death of Princess Diana, but it was received as a Freddie tribute, and Brian ultimately accepted it as one.

Perhaps, some questions are better left unanswered. Just got back from Youtube, and, am a little bummed that my suspicions were confirmed.

It was written about Freddie - long before Diana died. It sat unfinished for quite sometime until Roger listened to it and convinced Brian and John that they should record it as a Queen track. It was never about Diana. It just so happened that it came out around the time Diana died.
Just listening to the lyrics alone should be enough to tell you that it is about Freddie.

For some reason, I have become very emotionally attached to that song, and, knowing that I was WRONG in my suspicions only helps me to just go ahead and lovethedamnedsongalready!!
