does anyone know of the picture/sound has been restored in any way??
have you bought or seen the official Live AID dvd box yet?
Because on that one it's restored, if you're referring to Is This The World We Created...?

I assume this will be the case with this dvd as well.
Feel free to visit my site - http://www.mercuryparadise.com (Come into my life, it's a MercuryParadise)
If you get the DVD there is a whole section in the case about the sound and picture. He does a pretty good job addressing any questions somebody might have. I'm sure you could find it online somewhere. For the Wembley side of things the BBC has B Copies of alot of stuff and to my knowledge this is what they used. The Philadelphia side is pretty shotty stuff and really weak because the American side destroyed alot of their material since Bob Geldolf wanted it to never be released. Almost all of the Philadelphia side of the concert is courtesy of MTV finding lost tapes in their archives they didn't even know they had.

I have the live aid box set

what I meant was; will the set be further remixed / restored?
the quality on the live aid box set is not the best..
I don't believe it will. Alot of people don't realize that 82 songs are missing from it. With a concert that only has bits and pieces I don't think they are going to go through the trouble of doing it.

I think what's on the Live-Aid disc of Queen's set is all there is, no other camera angles or anything. It's probably already cleaned up as much as it can be, though they might include the MC intro before the set and a commentary track. Other than that it's hard to imagine how this could be any different than what we already have.

Great to hear that a new and unfound video recording is given to us as a bonus to the new release, I love it.

Hope that the back chat video and calling all girls will be easter eggs as a secret surprise... that would only be a dream come treu...
Cheers everybody and keep yourself alive
Haven't got it in front of me, but aren't Back Chat and Calling All Girls promo videos on the GVH2 DVD??

Here's hoping they include the video for "Somebody to Love", that's pretty rare.
Maybe they'll include Live At Wembley as a bonus feature...oops Queen Kicks Wembley's Ass! or something

Maybe a photo gallery of album covers set to the sound of the Japanese interviewer making the "Baaa Baaa" sounds in the '70s.
You just can't beat the reasonably priced mosquito repellant OFF.
