How come their original bass player isn't gonna be playing with them? Did they have a falling out with him too?

Yup. He is going to be touring with Sammy Hagar later this year actually.

Oh my God. I just had this horrible vision.
Van Halen - Union
All 9 members of Yes, I mean Van Halen, reunite for a blistering album and tour.
Please don't let this happen again...
Oh well, at least Hagar's bass player got a lot better looking, maybe. Used to be some large chinese girl.

Michael Anthony's recent treatment reached the public in March 2006. He spoke to Japanese rock magazine Burrn!,[15] claiming the brothers did not want him on the 2004 reunion - Hagar did (and would not play without Anthony), but he had to agree to be paid less. He was not involved in the new songs on Best of Both Worlds and only recorded three tracks for III.[/QUOTE]
If that's true, then VH now sucks. Further proof? When inducted at the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame, who showed up? Just Michael Anthony and Sammy Hagar.
Where's the new album Eddie? The soundtrack, remember? What about the 78-84 compilation album?

Thanks for clearing that up.
I know next to nothing about van halen but it's a shame that he won't be there. A 16 year old kid on bass with a bunch of middle aged men will just look...wrong!
But I hope those who do go have a good time! Heck if they came to Ireland I'd be half tempted to get a ticket just to see Eddie van Halen playing live.

Of course trying to get tickets is easier said than done. The instant they went on sale there were no good tickets left :-(
Tickets for Glendale, AZ ranged from: $167-$2400.Each.

You are looking at a scalper's website not Ticketmaster.

It amazes me how many people think that these scalper websites are the official places to buy tickets.
Nevermind the fact that Glendale, AZ has not gone on sale yet.

I would've went, but they're not coming here..sooo..I won't be driving to New York to see them either lol
It'll never happen. The Gods will conspire at the last moment.
I'm so pissed off at Ticketmaster. I wasn't even going to be picky about my seats for this show either. It turns out HUGE blocks of seats didn't go on sale to the general public. You had to either buy VIP seats (sound familar) or have a damn Citibank credit card to get close the the stage. That is bullshit. We pulled up crap seats the INSTANT the tickets went on sale. We didn't bother buying any. Now the show is "sold out." Yeah, right...sold out my ass. I hope they release the good tickets closer to the concert date, or I ain't gettin' to see them.

Once again corporations unite to rape the fans out of their money.

Yeah, Erin, sorry but that's concert life these days. Corporate sponsorship is a lot more important than the fans.
Did you really think front row was going to be available to just anyone? Even Queen did the same thing with their VIP packages. Don't get mad at Ticketmaster.
