What do you think, who was the best on FMTC? I think that George Michael was really AMAZING with "Somebody To Love". And that shades...oh my dear, he really looked smexy, sexy to me xD

Elton John was AMAZING too!!!! It's really hard to MAKE me cry, but I cried when It was Bohemian Rhapsody and when It come to the part:

i think that the song these are the days of our live with georges michael and lisa standfields was the best interpretation of that concert, of course it's my opinion, lisa was hot and sexy and a beautiful voice.

Gary Cherone (Extreme) was good on their own Queen medley, but really wasn't very good at all on Hammer To Fall. The version on the official VHS/DVD is actually overbubbed afterwards because the live take on the day was so out of tune. I think he just a got a bit excited and started trying to hard and it just got away from him.

Ian Hunter and Bowie were great on their own tracks, and it was nice to see Queen playing other artists material. Yes, George Michael was excellent, as was James Hetfield on Stone Cold Crazy.

Zucchero wasn't much kop, Roger Daltrey was actually fantastic if you were actually there, but this doesn't come across as well on the footage. Seal was pretty good, and Lisa Stansfield was her usual bland, unappealing self!

No doubt about it.....Roger Daltrey doing "I Want It All" was a very good rendition and he knocked the bottom out of it.....

George M was amazing on STL what made it so sound good also was the assistance from that fabulous gospel choir in the background, but could George maintain that level for 2 hours of Queen material night after night, me thinks not.

The so called Superstars if i can compare sounded like wannabees at an x-factor audition, well out of Freddie's League that's for sure without exaggeration.

I just enjoyed the Concert mainly to hear the 3 Band members play live, but there was strange feeling not seeing Freddie on the stage out there with them that day.

Freddie is sadly missed, just look around there is a sad lack of talent despite the musical legacy left by him and others e.g Elvis, Hendrix etc.

I found a little lump in my throat when the middle part of Bo Rhap was playing. But then that was because in the televised version you got to see a clip of young Queen in the music video. It was the stark realisation that Freddie was never coming back that made me nearly cry. Not the rendition of the song that Elton gave. George Michael did STL very well but as someone said, not without the help of that gospel choir.

Axl ruined the song.

George done a reall good job of this song. And allot of people suggested he should do something with Queen, but as much of a good job he done with this song, how would he go with other songs? Concidering all the other vocalists that tried to sing queen songs, this showed just how dynamic a vocal rage Freddie had, so it may be fair to say George leveled the range on this song, but then could George sing Stone Cold Crazy, Hammer to Fall, ect ect. but none the less, he did to a good job of this song.[/QUOTE]

while i think george michael was the best out of all the singers there he cant match Freddie at all.

Somebody to love was in lower key AND played much slower than usual.

Daltrey was best in show.
On paper, Plant was the best man for the job - I don't know what happened on the day but it's a real lost opportunity.
Elton John + Axl Rose + Bohemian Rhapsody was a fucking miasma. That's all one can say - it was bloody awful from beginning to end.
George Michael was great.

I might add that I liked seeing Brian, Roger and John start 'Tie Your Mother Down'.

I agree..

I think my favourite part was actually 'Too Much Love Will Kill You'. The other one I loved was 'Young Dudes', and of course 'Champions'.
