I'm sitting as a passenger in my brother-in-law's car, when he plays this CD ‘Return To Splendor’ by an Irish artist called ‘The King’.
For those who do not know, ‘The King’ is a fairly good Elvis imitator, but, what I really liked about this album was the originality of his ideas. Gone were the standard bastardised covers of ‘Heartbreak Hotel’, or ‘Suspicious Minds’, instead, Mr. King interpreted the music of today - as If Elvis were still alive - now.
So tracks included: ‘Sympathy For The Devil’, ‘L.A. Woman’, ‘Whole Lotta Love’, ‘You Got It’, ‘Everybody's Talkin', ‘Good Vibrations’, ‘Pretty Vacant’ and ‘Crazy Little Thing Called Love’.
Yes - it was corny and cheesy, and totally pointless - but I guess I enjoyed this disc because it was fun.
So this got me thinking – what if Gary Mullen was to do a Freddie album in a similar vein? What contemporary tracks would you like this ‘Freddie’ to cover – ‘Feels Like Teen Spirit’, ‘Angels’ – or what would YOU suggest?

That would be fun. But I think Gary can't interpretate these. Cause he immitates Freddie's voice. Thats why I think he only plays songs from Live at Wembley and other songs he heard Freddie sing live.
So he can immitate every cough, fart and burp Freddie did on the album.
Thats why I don't see him as a singer but as a brilliant voiceactor
