This film is called Scum, and was out in the late 70's. I didn't get to see it until several years later on (what was then) the slightly "edgy" Channel 4.

I recommend you get a copy - even now, all these years later, it's a brutal film to watch.

When I said I hadn't seen it, I meant I haven't watched the film - i did know of it (hence being able to search for a clip)
