How Do I Make My Bit Torrent Dowloads Faster?

It usually goes around 25 kb/s when I download something. Is there anyway to make it go faster?

if you have installed bittorrent, bitcommet or anything of this client software the download speed always is under of the real speed conection

I recoment you install "ARES"

BE CAREFULL THE DOWNLOAD SPEED DEPEND OF THE SEED SENDING THE FILE

I have a conection of 1200 kb/ps (1.2mb/ps)

and the faster download speed that I have is 160kb/ps with "ARES"

Tje dowmload speed of these torrent programs almost does not depends on ur internet speed.If u want pay next time for greater speed and will see,that u'll still download with that speed.Only the number of seeders and distance to them matter.The good news is that if u payed for 1.2Mb(for example)sometimes(when u "meet" some seeder that uses same internet local provider and the number of seeders is great) u'll download with 3-4Mb and more(it depends on ur Lan card and speed and type of HDD)

I can seed at The Traders' Den, and my ratio there is about 2.20. However, I can't seed at Dime, although I can download... so my ratio there is awful! Any advice on how to increase my uploading speed (from zero!) ??

I've got the same problem at Dime as you Bob, any help would be appreciated!

I also sometimes have slow download speeds when theres less seeds/peers, does the BT Engine really work?

Increasing your ratio at Dime :
1. Jump on a torrent that just was launched, and stick around for at least a few days til the initial "rush" disappears.
2. Visit the orphaned torrents site - sometimes it helps - but sometimes you find only one downloader downloading at 2 kbs...

That happens to me at Jamtothis. Now i don´t even log because my share ratio is so poor!
Do as Ginger said.
Try to jump at a "good" torrent as soon as possible and then keep your computer on 2 or 3 days in a row.

Let me ask you something. Does the HArsh file information apears with the torrent information?

In case it does, can you post here one harsh information of any torrent? I need to make an experiment and i need that.
