Well I got my smash-guitar today. It's a dodgy Craftsman strat copy. It's actually quite playable but sounds like a tin can.
It fulfilled my requirements of a) Being cheap, b) Having a floating bridge and c) Being able to stay in tune for the duration of Won't Get Fooled Again.
At the moment, it's pearly white. Anyone got ideas for decoration? Something like "This guy got ripped off" or whatever?

Hahaha. Make it flower power and pretend you're playing at woodstock.

Put a 'This Guitar Has Seconds To Live' sticker on it.
..and I haven't forgotten that you've promised us a YouTube of the smashing. Let us know!
Ive got a brand new Japanese Fender Strat for sale if youre interested...£350.
Haha, I managed to find something considerably.... cheaper than that. Probably sounds about the same, too!
I'm having second thoughts about this guitar in particular. I'm contemplating selling it for more than what I got and just buying something even worse.... as bad as the guitar sounds, it's actually quite playable when you come down to it.
Grrr! I guess I'll have to settle on one eventually.

Just stop looking for a cheap guitar and smash a bloody Les Paul for goodness sake!
With the enormous numbers on it, off course.

Smash a TAFE guitar. I'm sure they've some sort of deal with...a music shop around town.
Heh, Gus was so angry I didn't know any music shops around Perth. He punched a hole in a wall and said 'Yeaaaaaah'. He started singing.

Blast a couple of shotgun holes thru it.
