listen, Freddie was (nearly) 40 years old when Queen did the Magic Tour. To me, he looks just perfect.

By the by, I think by the time Queen did the Magic tour Freddie had stopped taking cocaine, so it's not strange he didn't looked extremely sharp anymore.

Starting from 1987, he had to take medication and then his face really got swelled up. Take for example a look at the promo-pics for I want it All.

I miss that man so much. :-(.
You could see the fullness of his face on the original Barcalona album cover. First time I saw it, I thought he just gained a bunch of weight. The thought of AIDS wasn't even flash in the general publics mind. Ofcourse four years later we all knew differently.

i think its just that he had a really big, manly, square jaw. it doesnt really look flabby...or maybe i just have to go back and watch wembley more closely....

I don't think people's heads get fatter as they age.
[QUOTENAME]LozlanTheMage wrote: [/QUOTENAME]It was amazing how Freddie's head swelled during that short and infamous set. He looked perfectly fine when he took the stage; he belted several memorable tunes, and all was well. Then - horror of horrors! - his face expanded to grotesque proportions. It was a hideous and unmentionable episode, and Freddie was eventually carted from the stage in a wheelbarrow (which bowed from the weight of his obese, swollen features).

As for why? Eh, these things happen.
You have it all wrong. As he was finished with the show and walked off of the stage, his head enlarged into a large, air-filled bubble, floating him up into the sky. It took them a few days to find him floating around. It wasn't until passengers in a commercial airplane were baffled as to see him hovering near their window, yelling for help. A flight attendant was able to stand on the wing of the airplane without being sucked away from existence, and lassoed him to her. She brought him inside the plane and others aided her in popping his balloon-head. They sowed everything back together and he was back to normal. It was indeed a terrible event.

Innuendo1990 must be studying Aids in college because he seems obsessed with when Freddie was diagnosed with AIDS, what he was like before he died etc.Why not apply for a job with an undertakers mate!
aids medication side effect, no question about that, now that i left ya know the truth, stop wondering.
