Well, maybe hate is too strong a word; but when I say 'I've just a promo CD that has a version of Thank God It's Christmas with an extra 5 seconds of drums" she doesn't understand why that is exciting

Yes
You can get an on-line divorce for under $300.
Shouldn't that last post be put on a site his poor wife looks at?
I haven't got a wife to hate Queen. Do you feel sorry for me?

I love Queen. Queen is my favorite band of all time, and I love a significant quantity of music, in general. But I don't even understand why that is exciting.

I realize being the first female to respond on this thread could be dangerous, but oh well.
All guys complain about their wives, just like all wives complain about their husbands (or so I've been told by my married friends and cousins and such...I'm not married and not even dating anyone currently). Does she necessarily have to love Queen as much as you do? Nope. Difference is good. But hopefully she at least respects the love you have for them and you can agree to disagree or whatever.
If I'm ever lucky enough to find someone and get married it's not a requirement for me that they like Queen as much as I do...though it's definitely a perk! They do have to love some kind of music as much as I do though, and it can't be rap. That's my only requirement.

Well, as long as her favorite band isn't Green Day or My Chemical Romance, I don't think you have much to worry about.

If you had said the opposite, I'd feel sorry for the woman. ;)
Just kidding.

If I hadn't of married a Queen fan, my husband would think I'm completely nuts.
My wife moderately likes only one Queen song (You're My Best Friend), she tolerates several Queen songs, but hates Fat Bottomed Girls, Sheer Heart Attack and ANY Queen song with "screeching" guitar (nearly half of all Queen songs). I prefer listening to music while not having a conversation (unlike my wife and kids), so I rarely listen to music at home, and instead do must of my music listening in my car.
However, I do not regret marrying a lady with vastly different musical tastes than I.
