Jeff Lynne just finished working on what might be Tom Petty's greatest album ever, Highway Companion. It's trademark Lynne, with that Spector-ish wall of sound. Plus Jeff's amazing keys and drumming skills come into play as well as a couple of tracks playing bass.
Personally, I think it may be Lynne's greatest production, aside from the ELO career.

Gillan was a real asshole these days, no wonder they didn't get along with each other. But he's a great singer and DP are an mind-blowing live band even today.
