New TV/Stereo suggestions anyone?

I'm looking to upgrade my living room with a new LCD TV (roughly 37") and maybe a new surround sound. Can anyone give me any suggestions at a reasonable price? I had a friend recommend a Vizio LCD, but I'm not all that familiar with the brand. Looking for something with HDMI hookups. Thanks in advance.

Ummm...try buying Sony Bravia or try with Panasonic. They are awesome! I have Panasonic plasma with dvd & surround in my living room & It's incredible, specially to watch concerts, just awesome! And I have LCD from Sony Bravia in my room, I mean both are really great..Look some of those on the internet. You can't miss with that. Hmmm...prices? Well I think they are not so big...I just saw you said LCD. You should deff buy some of Sony Bravia. I found this for you:

seen those brands in costco-does seem to have an incredible picture

i chose a samsung dlp one -longer life then others

have had mine 4 yrs now-- some zoners have watched stuff on it to---still love it--football (real footbal *LOL* go PATS)is brilliant on it-

the reviews for Vizio are not that bad...

look and shop carefully--- and enjoy what you decide on!
