I have never understood birthday wishes for dead people.

Some of us happen to believe in a Heaven where the soul exists. This is why we celebrate one's birthday even after their untimely death.

I don't believe in Heaven, and I think John Lennon is totally gone and there's absolutely no way of reading our birthday wishes.

So, the only way to keep him "alive" is in our memory. So I think it's good to publically show respect and admiration for artists and gather other admirers, just like this thread has done.
