This is a bit old.

This brave (but dumb?) dog tried to find a hedgegog that sneaked into the yard, in a small city in Brazil called Taguatinga Sul.

A vet sedated the dog and removed 1347 quills.

If your stomach is TOO weak, don't see the pics. But they aren't TOO "sick". But they're quite impressive...

What a stupid dog. Why would you still be attacking an animal which has you been stinging for 1000 times

Because after the first sting, he got even more angry? ... xD

Are hedgehogs the same in Brazil as they are in England? I'm sure the most an English hedgehog could do is roll into a ball is being attacked. Maybe we just have crap hedgehogs in England.
The terrier also has blood on his head and body. So I think he totally tore the hedgehog apart. And thats why he is full of spikes

O.O

EDIT: Ah, it looks it was my mistake...

The animal is actually called "porcupine". Most portuguese-speakers seem to use the same word for hedgehod and porcupine. :P (thank you, Wikipedia!)

Hedgehogs are cute, whereas porcupines are borderline disgusting.

No idea... I found the story and the pics while visiting another forum. :P The thread starter got it all by e-mail, and the e-mail didn't say anything else about the dog.

But considering all the nasty stuff was removed by the vet, I think so.

Ah...porcupine's hurt like a bitch, I had 2 quails from one before, worst part is taking them out, as they are like a hook. Little fucker was under a drain pipe by the side of a road and I was stake boarding by and it shot off a few.
The thing is, that dog had only one shot, as a porcupine can shoot off like all of it's quails at once if think it needs to, so I don't think that dog got a attack in if he was close enough.
MY GOD spell it write.

Nah Niek, Pretty sure some of those Quails are on the lips, those quials are like hook's, if you have one on the lip it's a good bet it went through and out, causing the bleeding, also the nose tips.
I had a nice amount of blood off just 2.
MY GOD spell it write.
Ow ow ow ow ow ow OW. D:

Poor Target dog... But I guess that's what he gets for killing the spiky thing. :P
