The thing is about gay people :D I wanted to know something. Do you think that HUGE number of gay people are listening to artrists like Freddie Mercury, Elton John, George Michael, Boy George, Will Young...just because of sexual orientation of these beautiful people?

I know I found that I'm gay long ago, I mean It was not that long.. It all started in highschool although I knew before who I am, I was scared of the thing how will others accept that.

I know I felt so free listening to singers like Freddie, George, Elton, Will.. I felt that going thru all that is much easier, their music brought joy to my life and helped me going 'out'. What do you think about gay population listening to gay singers? Is it because of the fact who loves who or is it music, I know that in my case It was both :]
Gay people don't listen to gay singers enough, and if they do, they listen to the talentless ones.

Seriously, who else listens to crap like Cher, Liza Minelli, Barbara Streisand, and Madonna?

;-D
Let me chime in, the resident queenzone "homophobe", as I've been referred to.

You've already made my point, before I begin... but here goes:

First, I love women. Tall, short, skinny, fat, whatever.

So does that dictate what music I listen to?
Of course not.
Should I march in a parade or wear a colored ribbon?
Of course not.
Should I play acoustic solo concerts and bitch about the environment & heterosexual rights?
Of course not.
Should I campaign for rights I really don't deserve?
Of course not.
Should I push my lifestyle in the print & film media?
Of course not.

But Gay people think they have to do that kind of shit. Why is that? Why can't I get healthcare for my girlfriend of 9 years? blah blah blah blah
I think that thing doesn't have anything to do with sexual orientation. People love listening to music and singers that they like, first thing that you notice is voice, right? After all that you CAN start to like singer as an person and all other things, in which you can find yourself.
I'm sick of all my kicks.

What more in the name of love

What more in the name of love

xD maybe topic name would sound better if it was In The Name Of Love or maybe Pride.Lol.
I'm sick of all my kicks.
People of all sexualities, genders, races, ethnicities, etc. do listen to, always have listened to, and will continue listening to music for reasons completely irrelevant to the music itself. This is a fact of life, and nobody cares.
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.
What an ignorant thread, reminds me of an Office US episode...
We love you Mandy!
