Happy Halloween!
Although I will admit, I look foward to Guy Fawkes a little more 'round this time of the year; the city council is putting on a mean display in the harbour :D

When my older brother was 15 he and his friend cut open a pillow each, parted a hole in the pillow stuffing and put that around their chests, then went around pretending to be "clouds", and they bloody well got all the lollies! What did I get when I went around with my friends aftewards? 30 cents, a tin of 3 Bean Salad and an old postcard...that was used!
So to answer your question, yes, people do that.
