Why remove screen resolution when there is littl ethee in the first place? It's not as if it's film where you can get away with cropping, it's LOW RES NTSC VHS for chris sake, which is bad enough in 4:3 !!!!???

I might get some grief for saying this but, "better to seed something lossy than to not seed it at all." There are many of us fans who would love to get hold of ANYTHING we can find, whether it is cropped and lossy or not.
Hell, if Live at the Rainbow was found floating around in its raw state with no cleaning or remastering, or dare I say, poorly edited, Im sure it would have people running for their Torrent clients begging to get onboard.

People are welcome to critique what they download, so such comments should be made if necessary. That's what a forum is for!
If a particular share isn't the best version and it is believed (or known) that a better version is out there, then the best way for everyone to get it is for someone to initiate the dialogue.

Tact or no tact, he's always right. He deals with video for a living, so he knows what he's talking about.
And, the fact that he hasn't shared here before shouldn't mean that he is required to be any less outspoken when it comes to his knowledge of videos. He has made it clear more than once that he'd share plenty if this forum had quality standards. He doesn't want his videos converted to VCD format, and I don't blame him for a second.
On a slightly philosophical point, the best teachers often tend to be the ones who incorporate a bit of shock value into their methods of teaching. If someone feels personally invaded by his methods, that's their own fault. If these people weren't so stubborn and ignorant when it comes to the overall concept of preserving the quality of recordings, we wouldn't be hearing a word from him other than "thanks".
Most of the videos shared here are lossy. I don't want to speak for him any more than I already have, but maybe you'd see a happy 928 if someone shared a lossless video. But unfortunately, even in the trading pool, most Queen DVDs are lossy, for two reasons: a) some people want to keep the best versions for themselves, or b) they simply don't know that a regular DVD over 60 minutes long is lossy, so they simply encode 110 minutes or so onto a single disc, and call it a day.

Absolutely, and I'd be the first in line. If there is no alternative available, then there is no time to be picky!
However, there *is* an untouched copy of this Buenos Aires show out there, so when an alternative is available, people should reserve the right to be critical of how someone went out of their way to destroy a perfectly good recording.
