Typical Hollywood: Thomas Andrews, the Titanic's designer, was from Comber, in Co Down. In the movie they have him speaking in that Hollywood form of irish, half Scottish/half Co Leprachaun. Fiddly dee and top of the morning till ya, may ya be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows yer dead etc. Still, maybe it's better America thinks Andrews was a Southerner, given the half-arsed job he did.
