Why Eminem?

Since the new Tour 2005/06 i wonder at the begin of all shows:

Why Queen played "Lose yourself" by Eminem in Intro?

That's a good question haha. I think it was a joke or something, because I think Roger likes Eminem or something.

I thought it was because:

* Brian liked the meaning of the Eminem song (only one chance : grab it before it's gone; final chance to see "queen") and thought it fitted well as an opening for the Q+PR tour.

* Brian likes Eminem because he says / does whatever he wants.

* Eminem sampled a bit of a queen song.

Why not? It's a decent tune

Why Eminem ? Because he's homophobic and Brian thinked it would be great to open a show for a gay-band called Queen...

Just because Brian and Roger are in a rock band doesn't mean their tastes in music aren't allowed to transcend rock.

I think it was the perfect house music for the tour. It's an energetic song, and ideal to get you into the right mood and mindset.

I think maybe there is no really a reason :-)

It was the lyrics of Lose Yourself which inspired Brian.

And it proved to be a perfect intro.

Indeed it was- everytinme I hear this song now on the radio it feels like REACHING OUT should be next :)
