It's not a matter of if, it's who will replace him.

After a performance close to what I expect from Stafford Rangers, surely the most inept performance for many a year... I cannot believe McClaren hasn't done the decent thing - obviously waiting for his severence package.

Next manager? Jose will say piss off. For me Capello or Lippi. O'Neill will be favourite but what has he done over the past few years other than win a league with the best team in the division.
arsene wenger for me,but thats not gonna happen as his boss is one of the main men at FA HQ

Why doesn't Beckham play for England? In many countries people would kiss the ground he walks on - a one-in-a-century genius. I don't understand why he is always blamed, dumped and only called for the rescue when it's too late. Sometimes I think it's his boulevard image as Mr. Spice Girl and perfume model that makes it impossible for the English football world to appreciate him as the outstanding player he still is.

European cup without England is like World Cup without Brazil :(

Beckham is old and plays in a 'Mickey Mouse competition' in the USA to fill his pockets even more. He played the second half. That should be enough. ;-)

Well, mr. McLaren is officially fired right now. Can I offer you a new coach? You can have Van Basten for free. And some players too if you want. We'll make them English, no problem. Bouma and Melchiot for instance. :P

The only differnce between Holland and England is that we were lucky and England was a bit unlucky. But it's a waste of money for us to send our team to the EC. The flight tickets... the hotel. We so need another coach! But that won't happen.

Anyway, I've been watching England - Croatia yesterday. And that match was really enjoyable. And 'Lucky Guus' did it again. After reaching the WC semi final with South Korea and the qualification of Australia for the last WC, he managed to get Russia to the Europeans. Respect! _0_

Yeah right, I could pee on ground where Beckham walked. I would rather kiss ground where players from my country were walking (it was a metafore, lol). England has many better players than him. But yes, I also like to see England on world and EU cups because I just LOVE when we play against them. Beckham played in secon half-enough.

But then again you have Germany, France, Italy, Greece (they won 1st place on last word cup).... On last WC Brasil haven't even won 4th place, so much about it.

<3 GO CROATIA!!!!! _0_
I'm sick of all my kicks.
Miracle - come on :) Who cares about the qualification? Holland has the same chances to win the cup as any other team. Please don't grudge us the pleasure to play against our other "favourite enemy" :)

@ Killer Queen - it's about tradition. England is the home land of football and Brazil won 5 World Cups, more than any other team plus a couple of 2nd and 3rd places.

Really... the way Van Basten manage the team is a disaster. He's selecting the wrong players and plays with the wrong tactics. Nobody understands what he does. And we played terribly lately. We luckily won from Luxembourg last Saturday (Luxembourg deserved at least a draw but Van de Sar saved us), otherwise we wouldn't have been qualified at all. We have a chance yes, but then a lot of things has to be changed! It’s not going to work this way. Really a waste of time watching them!

I mean... he starts with Koevermans (substitute of PSV) and he keeps Huntelaar (topscorer of the Dutch competition with eleven goals) out of the selection. Just one example. I can write a book with things like this!

Melchiot? I thought he was quite impressive the last two matches.

Yeah, I know. I agree 100% with you. It is weird, but that's how it is. Things are changing, it can't always be the same.

PS. I'm glad that Germany is going on EURO 2008 ;)

Scotland isn't :'(

I'm sorry? He wasn't that bad knowing what his skills are. But his technics are really bad. Same with Bouma. Good defenders, but they can't do anything with the ball.

I agree about some of the players...but what's wrong with Van Basten?

Everything. His way of putting players in certain positions is something to doubt about.

We have high quality players, but not a high quality team. A coach has to work on that. He's been our coach for three years and really no progression at all.

Then there must be something wrong...
