i had many pleasant hours reading your book "Queen live". i always notice something new. preferably i read it in no particular order. i would go like "mmm i wonder what setlist they made to promote ADATR" and i look up those parts in your book

it has managed to enrich my Queen experience in a very profound way. it is the only book of Queen that i have (since i live in a country where you can't get hold of Queen books very easy) and it is a very precious possession of me
Hello, fine you appreciated this book.
It is indeed good to have a book for reference as far as Queen's live work is concerned.
Can somebody try to explain what could be the mistakes in this book for our new friend, before he takes eveything for granted ? I think there are some, it was already discussed here if I remember well.

Regards,

Olivier,
France.
wanna trade ?
Do yourself a favor and just get Lester's book.

What does that have to do with anything?
What is the correct term for the same person using multiple internet personas?

It would be easy to similtaneously hold many ISP accounts (after all anyone can sign up under Yahoo, Hotmail, Tiscalli, Virgin etc) and post under whichever guise was needed.

So whenever things seemed settled or boring, a new controversial thread could be commenced under a new guise.

I just wondered if anyone else has ever thought they had experienced this phenomina?
"Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make."
When I first read Greg Brooks' book I thought it was great. Being made before Internet's full massive proliferation it was an outstanding effort and a very good product.

It has been revealed that it had MANY mistakes but it was as accurate (or more) than any other source avaialable at the moment.

However, I think that the revision made by Greg left what many fans consider to be errors. Maybe he didn't find enough proof to correct a so called mistake or maybe he was lazy, who knows?

I have read that Lester's book is better (or at least more accurate) and that seems to be the general opinion here.

FD, QOL's very own antagonist by excelency, you sure blend along other shit stirrers here in QZ. No need to do that. We have our own clowns for that purpose.

Good discussions, interesting topics; that's what this site sometimes lacks.

Fair enough, but the microwaved clown didn't need to post such a dismissive and rude post to Jony now did he?

If Jony has made this topic to stir something up then that's another matter.
I didn't think that was a dismissive comment but an actual recommendation. Maybe not so polite but who knows. I usually take every post with a pinch of salt and not take them very seriously.

The good thing about not having actual moderators is that you can say whatever you want. If you talk shit nobody will take you seriously and/or they might be rude to you (like I was in my last post, now that I read it again, sorry for that).

Another problem here is that Greg's book was discussed months and years ago and that's what sometimes happens when you bring up a really old subject. It also doesn't help if the post is poorly written (in general)... :S

The Bible has also been revealed as having MANY mistakes, and also reprints have the same errors. But it still gets sold, unfortunatly

As you come to get to know Queen's live history better, you'll come to see the hundreds of mistakes in the book. In fact, those setlists you're reading for the ADATR tour are mostly wrong. Also, many words he purports to be his own were lifted directly off my website and others.

lol!

I was going to post something perhaps partially constructive, but there's no need after that. Well done.

Yes, I did.

It was a stupid post and just an attempt to slam Greg Brooks. If "Jony" the Pony doesn't like all the "mistakes", she can simply pickup Lester's book, because I haven't found too many in there!

Except, of course, spelling Freddie "Freddie".

I was hoping you'd catch that!
