To be honest, sister, when i first saw Freddie, i sincerely thought he was VERY VEEeeeery extremely ugly, i thought:"OMG what an ugly dude, behemoth"

XD
But step by step he seems to me more and more not so repellent:] I can agree he had athletic body, but face.....

hahaha. Freddie's just got a lokk that either you're attracted to or you're not. I'm a Roger type of girl, but I have to stay, there's just something about Freddie that I find absolutely stunning...yes, even the teeth. lol He's just beautiful in his own way...I don't know what it is, but I think he's got very pretty eyes, a nice body, nice hair, love the moustache lol, I don't know...he's just striking.

Striking is exactly the word to describe him, I agree. To use the word 'ugly' is pretty strong and inaccurate I think. I guess it all comes down to the teeth doesn't it? Some people can't see beyond that feature and just dismiss him as ugly, we all have our opinions but I personally think that's a bit short-sighted...I mean come on what is ugly about this?!:

I find Freddie attractive...perhaps not in the usual way...however, there is something bright in his eyes which sort of draws one to him...and, he has a very cat like way of moving about.
I admit, though, if I had never heard Freddie sing, and, saw him, say, at the mall, I likely wouldn't notice him. I suppose it is that voice, combined with a bit of natural charisma, which attracts me to him, though, certainly not in a sexual way.
Also, oddly, there is a very marked masculinity about Freddie, which, along with the obvious, makes for a very interesting individual.
It is all random
His face was amazing, not ugly, not beautiful. Simply amazing.
Freddie es como Carlos Gardel: cada dia canta mejor.
Now THAT is a hunkoburnin'love! Soooooo handsome![QUOTE][QUOTENAME]saltnvinegar wrote: [/QUOTENAME][QUOTE][QUOTENAME]<font color="black">Rogers Queen? wrote: [/QUOTENAME]

I agree with almost everything there Dusta (apart from the bit where you said he didn't attract you sexually ;)) I think the thing about not noticing him if you saw him in a mall would probably be true for most celebrities. Everyone is pretty much anonymous until we start seeing them in magazines and on TV, however if a random Freddie lookalike started singing in the mall with *that* voice, he'd likely have my attention right away! Regarding your masculinity comment, do you think it was more apparent in the 80's than the 70's or no different?

Oh and:

Glad you agree!
Definitely moreso in the 80's !!

I'm sick of all my kicks.
I think what made Freddie such a strikingly good-looking man was Freddie himself. If he passed us on the street, we might not look twice. Watching him perform, listening to that voice and hearing him interviewed all draws us into who he was, or who we thought he was. His talent drew us to him, his charisma and oozing sex appeal kept us there and made him look even more beautiful as time went on. JMHO.
"The others don't like my interviews. And frankly, I don't care much for theirs." ~ Freddie Mercury
