That's not Fred, because:
- He's playing left-handed
- He seems to be playing an acoustic bass
- He has never officially been associated with Ovation guitars
- That picture of Brian (and therefore presumably the other guy) seems to be from around the late 90s
- It doesn't really look like him or his clothing style
I suspect someone else will be able to tell you who the other guy actually is.

Not his clothing style ? Well maybe not thought it was very much like the WWRY video period....And he plays guitar with gloves ?

Yep, pretty sure it is Brian, I remember having seen this in a guitar shop some years ago now, for Ovation promotion. I think there was also a second picture of this kind, but not too sure about that.
But 100% sure it is not Freddie next to Brian, don't remember who is it anyway...

One has to wonder, by the way he's holding it, has Seal played much guitar ever?

Well, considering that is a bass, and the fact that there is nothing wrong with the way he's holding it, one has to wonder, do you know what you're talking about?

Not that I don't realize you're kidding.

Incidentally, the seller explains that the picture was an ad taken from a 1992 American music magazine.Considering the current price of 2,500 yen, that'd be a pretty big profit he'd make if it sells...
Heh. Seal, Freddie.. what's the difference really? ;)
It is a cool pic. Thanks for finding that big, clear version Barb :)

The ad appeared in Guitar World Magazine, not sure of the date, but it featured Brian and nuno Bettencort on the cover with a feature having them interviewing each other.
It is a guitar promotional poster, and i suspect the other guitarist is Mr. Eddy van halen or another axe-hero....
It is Seal, I've got the advert.
Seal and Brian (amongst other) did a series of adverts for Ovation Guitars.
