i honestly dont know how people relate Freddie to Mika...they sound nothing alike, and the songs they sing are completely different. The only Queen material that i think is even close to Mika is Brighton Rock.

Exactly... and when Mika writes music, it's in the same genre as Britney Spears. Bubblegum pop! Freddie's never written anything as poppy as Mika has. If you call things on Hot Space, like Body Language, poppy... well, it's a bit more mature than things Mika would do.

Okay, I saw Hall and Oates live, twice. Daryl Hall most certainly had troubles with his voice...he sounded terrible, both times.
I saw Journey once...Steve Perry sounded wonderful, yet, he, like Freddie, dropped some of the high notes, and, his voice fell apart on a couple of occasions. Also, like Freddie, Journey toured a great deal. I also saw Kenny Loggins, who sounded terrible live. You could hardly hear him, and, he did not hit many of his high notes, which, by the way, I DID hit, singing along, and, I am NOT a singer. I cannot say the same for myself singing along with QUEEN songs.
My point is that the claim that none of these singers had the live vocal trouble that Freddie did may not be accurate.

That's interesting. It just goes to show that everyone has off nights from time to time and unless you're attending an Opera, perhaps it doesn't really matter if the lead singer's voice cracked a little or if he was huskier towards the end of the night.
Luckily for the fans, Freddie didn't just stand at the mic and attempt word for word duplications of Queen's studio works. He and the band put on a Show, got the crowd involved, used humour and every ounce of their energy to give the people value for money.
Unluckily for the band, videos and bootlegs are available for some to nitpick at every little error but considering Queen performed live around 650 times over the years, I'd estimate that most fans came away satisfied and extremely fortunate to have seen them play live.
