I heard he was dying it blond (he's naturally "dirty" blond, and he liked to get his hair lighter), but he did something wrong with the dye, and his hair went green.

Another very funny (and true!) Saarbrücken Open Air story is the following one: Freddie thought it would a spectacular idea to have him put on stage, coming from out of the sky...so Freddie wanted the crane present to lift him over the roof from behind the stage in a metal basket/cage. So...this crane was there to help hang the lighting rig over the stage, and a cage was arranged. Freddie courageously stepped into the cage, and exclaimed: "Let's fly me on stage!" BUT.....as soon as the cage came like 2 feet from the floor, and started softly swinging, Freddie started to panic and screemed: "Let me out, Let me out!!!" (sounds familiar to B.M. fans...?) put me down! "Put me down right now !!! STOP STOP STOP!" and so...this never happened...
