IF ANY ONE WANTS MY MSN ITS TOPGEAR1990@HOTMAIL.COM I love cool edit pro. Working on a tribute cd and need some input for songs from you:D
buddy rich is better.
"why pay the visit when the visit is free?"
By far. Then again, he's also dead.
Creativity can always cover for a lack of knowledge.
Sorry, if you get Buddy Rich in here right now, even I could kick his ass. He has terrible stiffness in his playing these days.
Charlie Watts.
The colours that you bring are the basis of everything.
For me, it will always be the Groovemeister himself: Jeff Porcaro.

Although he is already dead for fifteen years, he was the best.

I just love this groove.
John: "It's the one thing I wish I could do - sing."
One of the best drummers I've ever heard is Neil Peart, he is amazing.

I love Mike Portnoy too.

Then I'd say... Jeff Porcaro, yeah. Bill Brufford, Alan White, Jeremy Colson, Dave Weckl *bows*

I love Roger's drumms arrangements too.

Bonzo seemed to be an amazing drummer too. The guy who plays drums for my band is a big fan of him and he told me a lot of things about Bonzo's playing and he also explained a lot of his fills. The guy's much more than just "a guy who beats the shit out of the drum".

1. Roger Taylor is very average as a drummer.. I know it's hard to understand for people who are Queen obsessed.

2. Technically, John Bonham and Stewart Copeland (The Police) are probably the best.

3. If I had to choose I'd say John Bonham or Keith Moon.

"why pay the visit when the visit is free?"
Put it this way: Buddy Rich is the one and only drummer to ever exist that doesn't bore me to death with lengthy (or even short) drum solos. Buddy Rich was to drumming what Freddie Mercury was to singing - something never seen before, and never to be seen again.
