Freddie cut-outs

Just watched The Great Pretender video for the 96th time and it occurred to me to wonder whether any of the 100+ pink-jacketed Freddie cut-outs on the big staircase at the end of the video ever made it into collector circulation? Anyone got one?

I think I heard that some were given to the fanclub for a lottery or something...?

I used to have one. I got it from Tyne Tees television where a friend of mine had a father who was quite high up there. He knew I was a huge Queen fan so bagged it for me. It had a sticker on its chest with 'Our Freddie' on it. Unfortunatley my dad left it out for the binmen one day after complaining my bedroom was a mess. He nearly had a heart attack when I told him just what he had thrown away and its potential worth. I've still got a picture of me holding it up. Closest I ever got to meeting Freddie :o)

124 quid for a piece of cardboard???

I once saw one at the Official Fan Club Office back in 97' ( when the Fan Club still HAD an office...sniff..). It was neat, and there were several photos taken of people standing next to it.

I am not sure where it is today...probably in storage with the others artifacts that once graced the walls at The Old Bakehouse in Barnes.
