Sad Movies..? xD

Yes yes, which movies made you cry, or at least incredibly sad?

Mine'd be..

-Titanic. (String quartet scene, like. That was the only time in the movie I felt I should cry, but didn't, I just felt sad. xD)
-The Joy Luck Club. (Yes, when the lady and her two sisters meet for the first time in China.. Once again, I just felt like I should cry but didn't. :P)
-Though this sounds ridiculous, Rocky Horror (I actually did cry the first time, when Frank N. Furter died. How stupid of me. XDD)
-When I was little, I cried during Bambi when his mum got shot. Why are Disney movies so morbid?
-A League of their Own (I haven't seen this in a while, though I remember feeling sad when the one lady learns her husband died in the war..)
-The Little Princess. At some point they show a dead guy lying on a battlefield during WW1 and he's got a picture of his baby in his hands.. :/ I was young then, too. xD
-Letters from Iwo Jima.. the scene where the young American soldier dies and had that letter from his mum with him.. and the Japanese guy translates the letter and reads it to the other Japanese soldiers, and they all stand with respect. :B
-And, finally, Field of Dreams, when Kevin Costner plays catch with his dead dad. Although that's quite impossible. But still. xD

The only ones where tear-substance actually came out of my eyes, though, were Rocky Horror and Letters from Iwo Jima. The rest I just felt sad. xD

HOMEWARD BOUND. I was telling my friend that it made me cry loads and she laughed at me, so I challenged her to watch it without crying. She cried.

Basically every movie I have ever watched, because I obviously get too involved and then cry like a twit.

Awakenings, The Green Mile, Lion King, Hearts In Atlantis, Born on the 4th of July, Dear Hunter, Harrison's Flowers, Schindler's List, I cried on Batman 2 when I was 4 xD

And many more movies...

Dumbo... when the Mrs. Jumbo is tied up to chains and rocks Dumbo with her trunk is fuckin' heartbreaking.

I heard somewhere that modern activism against animal abuse in a circus started with Dumbo. In a related note Paul McCartney claims that what lead him to become a vegetarian was watching Bambi.

The two saddest movies I've watched are 'After The Promise' and 'The Grave of the Fireflies'. Pretty much everyone that I know who has watched them, has cried. Even Chuck Norris would cry watching those movies.

-Edward Scissorhands (I cry like a little bitch every time Vincent Price dies.)
-Titanic (Of course, the quartet scene. :P)
-Pan's Labyrinth (GAH, I bawled. xD)
-Forrest Gump (Yeh, I'm a pussy.)
-Sweeney Todd (I didn't cry, but it's just so incredibly sad. D:)
-The Green Mile (But the part where that guy steps on the mouse. That was the only part I cried during. xD)

The Libertine, when John was dying... He looked amazingly similar to Freddie in 'Innuendo', too. ;_;

And now that someone mentioned it, I thought 'Edward Scissorhands' was sad, too. Johnny Depp makes me cry. xD

I almost ( scratch that, I absolutely ) bawled when I saw the John Lennon documentary, also.

I remember feeling very sad watching this weird film about a very nice robot dude who was destroyed by some very bad people.

I cried. I was like 6.

I was going to make a joke about Gigli, but I've never actually seen it.

the one that does it for me every time is "mr hollands opus".
im "hard as nails in a pitbulls mouth" with soppy movies normally but that film has me sobbing into my JD!

For me, its "The Color Purple" and the bit where Celie finds all the letters addressed to her that her sister sent and which her husband kept hidden from her for years.

Classic.

That said though... like Joxer, Im as hard as nails when down the pub.....
