Many thanks - not "only" for uploading this, but also for being so generous as to make an awkward situation have a happy ending for all. It's more than fair! ;-)

Many, many thanks, Sir GH. I don't know when I'll be able to download the whole concert, but thank you. And thank you all for the comments, it must be a great show.

I think I listened just to a few songs from this concert. You know, I'm in an awkward situation - I'm writing from a hospital, I have undergone a surgery this morning lol - but is this the concert Freddie forgets the lyrics of Radio Ga Ga? I can't remember that without laughing out loud, it's really damn funny, I shouldn't be writing about this now because if I laugh, my body aches. I can't laugh, stop. But it's a huge fun because he forgets the lyrics but he goes on singing the melody as if nothing particularly exceptional had happened! lol I'm laughing again. Damn. Freddie is such a great fun and has been such a teacher for me.

I'm looking forward to listen to this one. I hope Brian is as on fire as he's in the concert at Wembley, 86 - his timing, his chords and his solo in "In the laps of gods revisited" are so beautiful.

Well, bye all! Thanks Sir GH again for this great upload!

Grab the second night from TTD. It sounds even a tad better than this one!

The master recordings of Vienna 1986...stunning! On some parts I sometimes think that it sounds like an official release! :-)

I think that it´s the first time i hear Freddie singing Radio GAGA almost like the studio version. Usually he doesn´t hit Roger pitch during the pre chorus, but in here it´s almost as great as Live aid.

Does anybody have "I want to break free" from this show - other source?
I´m really curious to see how Freddie nailed that one. Great stuff!
And Brian is excellent too!
All the band is excellent, and considering this is an audience recording, their live sound was very well balanced.

This must be one of the best audience recordings of Freddie along with some Japan shows. Great share.

Take care

Audience recording ? Isn't this the radio broadcast ? But an radio broadcast DOES exist, right ? I don't like being confused :-)

Cheers from the hospital! lol

The only thing I remember about Radio Ga-Ga in this bootleg is that Freddie forgot the lyrics and kept on singing the melody as if nothing had happened, and I'm laughing again, I can't help it, that was really fun.

Bobby_Brown, people are sharing "Done Under Pressure". Well, if you like the pre-chorus (I think what you call pre-chorus is in fact part of the chorus itself), they do it beautifully there: there's a conservative, lower register approach to the first [pre]chorus and, in the second, wow, there's a stunning progression and Roger Taylor hits the nail, an absolutely dramatic F4 and, though it may not be that clear, Freddie is there with him in "[fin]nest'our". Roger goes really high there and Freddie is not affraid: we don't listen to Freddie's timbre all that clearly but he adds substance to what Taylor is singing, for sure. It's usual in singing: one voice wraps up the other, so to say, and becomes stronger. I talked about that in the post about "Done Under Pressure", uploaded recently. There's a sense of increasing drama they manage to put into Radio Ga-Ga that, frankly, for me, it was really new, quickly thought and improvised stuff. And it sounded very good.

The song seemed more thoughtful, dramatic and structured there. I really remember enjoying that version, but, again, it's all memory, I don't use to buy or download that much and the stuff I here usually stays in the back of my mind.

But if you like the pre-chorus, I think the sense of progression they added to it by going higher in the register in the second pre-chorus really makes the song sound more dramatic and strong. I liked it.

You probably know it already, so, I'm just writing. lol

I want to get out of this hospital. The thing about hospitals is that it's boring. Before the surgery there's all that tension and stuff, but afterwards...man, what a bore.

Do they allow people to listen to Queen in hospitals? I don't think so.

Bye!!!!

Routine procedure. They open my head once in a while to control a kind of degenerative illness and then they close it again, it's cool. Really, I'm serious. It's exciting. This time, they didn't find out anything special, contrary to what the exams suggested, and then the surgery ended earlier than expected. The bad part is being in the hospital doing nothing. They opened up my head, did the thing, I'm all fixed, but I have to stay here. My hair is a mess and I want to buy a beautiful velvet sport cap, I don't know.

But I'm glad to know that you like that concert too. I pine for listening to it again. Pine? Don't know what it came from but seemed familiar, I don't know, I'm a mess.

And off-topic.

THANK YOU, AGAIN, FOR MAKING THE VIENNA CONCERT AVAIABLE IN ITS BEST VERSION AND ALSO FOR MAKING AVAIABLE THE SECOND NIGHT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you all, really!

Sir GH, Ginger01, Olivier, Smithmuther (that name is complicated), YourValentine, Cygnus-X, Roger Taylor, Bobby_Brown, Saltnvinegar, everybody.

And now, of course, thanks RICCARDO for asking about my health and giving me some space to write more and avoid the bore. lol

This website is really great, congratulations for the wonderful work, you all.
