You voice reminds me a little of Justin Hayward (which is good :P).
I liked the versions.

I thought maybe a little bit like the singer from Styx? Good harmonies. You must have fun with your recordings.

my god dan, that is the best cover of 'love of my life' i have heard so far!!!
bravo!!!
you have an excellent voice. it gives me hope that when i see people do covers that there are some good voices, and with quality 'cheap' equipment-which is something i cant hold a candle to, since im poor :)
and to have such patience to record the harmonies so well! im sincerely impressed.
again, bravo!!!
ive been sick, but iove wanted to do amy + mark ronsons version of 'valerie' and 'plush' by STP for fun :)

Again, thank you all for your kind comments. Yes, I do have a lot of fun. It helps keep me somewhat sane.
I would like to submit my cover of LOML to the stage of champions, but whom to I send it to?
Regarding originals, I'm not a writer. But, just give me the song and I'll sing it like I mean it. I'd like to be able to get into the right original project, provided, of course, someone could write good songs...ha!

To be completely honest, I thought it was Brian May on the LOML track XD seriously!! Don't laugh at me!!! Great voice Dan!!! Send this to Dr. Bri and see if he replies!! I love your voice, it's just amazing!!! If you make it big in the industry, remember where you came from!! (queenzone XD) Your are one of the only reasons I visit myspace and I don't even own one.
Are you a fan of Lou Reed? I think you'd do an awesome version of Perfect Day.
Dan....why in the hell have you not tried out for American Idol or something? I just listened to LOML bc it wasn't there before and it is...dare I say...better than Brian's version!!!!!!!!!! I'm fucking dead serious!!!!!
WOW WOW WOW...and WOW.
WOW WOW WOW...and WOW.
Quite nice Haystacks. I like it.
As others have said, there's a definite similarity in yours and Brian's voices, although yours generally sounds a bit more assured and comfortable than Bri's. And I too, again as others have said, was pleasantly surprised with I was hearing. You aren't what I expected.
A few suggestions if I may?...
- Replace the Em in Hallelujah with E. I presume you've heard Buckley's version of this song, and so I wonder why you opted against using the major version of the chord, as he did. For me, that E chord is the emotional pivot for the whole song, due to it's chromaticity.
- The whistling at the start of Patience...It needs sorting. I presume you know this, but in case you don't, it's very 'pitchy'. In fact, at times it almost sounds as if you're whistling in a different key altogether.
Other than that, good job fella.

I quite liked the version of the Killers song "When You Were Young" you did. Really nicely done indeed.
Oh yeah, forgot to add that.
I absolutely detest The Killers, but liked your rendition of their song. Better than the original, no doubt.

nice music and voice, i didnt like the mentioning of jesus though coz i REALLY hate religion :)
I'm not a whistler, I has happy that sounded as good as it did..but you can't cover that song and NOT at least give it a go...and I'm not much of a guitar player, to be honest....farting around with songs is just a fun way for me to blow off steam.
I appreciate all the love, guys.
