What's with these polls? As you correctly said, they don't make anyone any better. Even Brian is a bit ashamed that he is being put on the spotlight regarding him being the #1 guitarist, as he thinks Jeff Beck and others are better than him.
These polls only prove that Queen fans are nerdier than those of Bon Jovi, Toto and other participants. I'm Ok with that, actually :S.

I just voted for Luke because:
(1) He is a very good player.
(2) He's had to sit thru singers coming and going, but his songwriting has always been top notch. If Bobby or Joe aren't available, he'll just sing it himself.
(3) The Toto website doesn't have any message boards with dorks clammering to some bogus poll, so I thought I'd even it out a little.
(4) The Carlton / Lukather Live In Osaka has better guitar work on it than Brian has put out in the last twenty years.
