A rare find

Throughout my many years of collecting Queen's vast catalog,
how many times have you read or heard from someone that there
is a version of 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' that Elvis Presley recorded,
somewhere out there?

I know, I know. It's pretty far-fetched, right? Of all people, "The King" himself, he who
shaped rock 'n' roll as we know it, recording a QUEEN song -- modeled after him?

Just hold on one second there, though. It's true. I have it! Through an
unnamed, anonymous source, I was sent a version of 'Crazy Littlle Thing Called Love'
somebody had raided from Elvis's personal, private collection of home demos
that he recorded shortly before he died.

Are you ready to hear it?

Join me now, won't you, for a rare treat that very few have ever heard before,
or will likely ever hear again. The unnamed, anonymous source has
kindly requested that I not circulate this recording, but I want to share this with
everyone on Queenzone.

Anyway, without further ado, it gives me great enjoyment and pleasure to
present to you, a true rarity. I hope you like it, because it truly is a
real treat to hear Elvis sing this. Freddie himself considered
it to be one of his best songs, and it's easy to see just how much Freddie
liked Elvis, and how influential The King was to Freddie.

For your information, this features Elvis's "TCB" band backing him up:
on lead guitar, James Burton; on bass, Jerry Scheff; on drums, Ronnie Tutt;
on rhythm guitar, John Wilkinson; and on keyboards, Larry Muhoberac.
Lots of truly amazing musicians, who played on some of Elvis's most
sensational recordings ever. And now we can add this one to the list.

Looks like ol' Lester pulled through for you guys again, eh? I know I don't offer much...

Pity a few others did not join in. It had the potential to be up there with the 'Man In The Shadows' LP.

Elvis is still alive

Very good, not as good as last years find of the 2 second film clip from the making of Bo Rap where Freddie is heard to say "of course it was all about AIDS you know" but still a worthy find Sir.
