Oh, and I found out that, if you think about it...music's really for the ears.
I understand where you're coming from, but I would like to argue that music is not just for the ears but for other senses as well etc.....
That's a fair call Steve. Music can be a powerful trigger for other senses and sense memories - in a similar way to smell. I am a big fan of Roger's ability to make profound statements of the obvious. I'm never too sure whether he wants me to laugh or stroke my chin and go hmmm. Usually I think I do both. I laughed all the way through Shove It for this reason.

That the world expects a man to buckle down and shovel shit.
We wouldn't have learned that Paul Rodgers was all of a sudden a piece of shit vocalist.
I would not know what "Teo Torriate" meant; or any Japanese for that matter.
And I would definitely still be taking life waaayyy too seriously, if I hadn't heard "Don't Try So Hard." I guess everything they taught me is just self-significant.
And I love teh "Fuck today, it's tomorrow!" saying. It's brilliant. XD

Michelle :D I haven't talked to you in ages! I'd have to agree with you on that one as well. (:

I saw them three times and never did I think Paul was anything but great! So, I guess, in that case, it's not the teaching but the lesson you opt to walk away with!

Well in case you are not joking.
I'm being quite facetious.
I was more or less mocking the clueless fucks who have probably been Queen fans for a year or two and who slag a legendary vocalist such as he.

No...I'm a very dedicated Queen fan and I know all about Rodgers...I'm just not a fan of his at all. Not even when he was in Bad Company. I actually really don't like the sound he brings to Queen-too southern rock-ish.

There are so many things that I would not know if it were not for Queen. I learn something new all the time. Not only about Queen but other things as well.
I actually learned about life through some of the songs.
TATDOOL and TSMGO reached out to me when I first listened to them.
I found out who Queen was.
I also started listening to other bands because of them. I wanted to know who their influences were.
The last thing that I learned is that my idol John Deacon DOES NOT look good with that rat's nest he called hair in the 80's.
Seriously could've used a comb. They're not expensive!!
And a whole mess of other stuff but the list is too long.
I also learned that Queen has Stepford fans..
